Services for Mrs. Norma Earl Russell were held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Munroe Rice of Cross Baptist Church officiated the service.

Norma Earl Russell, 84, of Iola, Texas passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021 in Iola, Texas. Norma was born August 8, 1936 in Iola, Texas to Claude & Mary (Fitzgibbons) Denman. During her life she had many hobbies that included sewing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and doing yard work. She worked hard all her life. Her places of employment included Carter’s Grocery, Rockin’ Chair General Store, and Iola Café, in Iola, and Bubba’s Grocery in Washington.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Micheal Sullivan; daughter, Kathy Tucker; brother, Jimmy Ray Denman; and grandson, Shon Mosley. She is survived by sons, Rusty Garner (Shirley) of Iola and John Mac Garlington (Kimberly) of Rockport; daughters, Susan Mosley of Iola; Donna Ray of Iola and Lisa Roese (lifetime partner, Melissa Tutt) of Washington; grandchildren, Brandon, Chris, Jamie, Misty, Eric, Anthony, J.E., Tia, Larry, Carrie Joe, Janell, and Randy; sisters, Willie Faye Betts of Iola, Lois Nobles of College Station, and Joyce Martinez of Zapata, as well as thirty-five great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the Mosley family requests that memorial donations be made to Traditions Hospice, 1862 Rock Prairie Rd., Ste. 2051B, College Station, Texas 77845.
