Savannah Ann “Granny” Smith was born July 3, 1956 in Madisonville, Texas to parents, Arthur June and Lula Mae (Smith) Williams. Savannah accepted Christ under the leadership of Pastor James and Co-Pastor Davis at Free Pentecostal House of Prayer.

Savannah loved serving the Lord as a youth Sunday School teacher, studying her bible, cooking and taking care of her family. She worked at Monterey

She worked at Monterey Mushrooms in the packing department, and she also had a passion for childcare, which she did at home until she became ill.

Savannah was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur June and Lula Mae Williams; grandparents, Algie and L.D. Smith; brother, Jerry Smith; daughter, Carletha Hawthorne; sister-in-law, Tangela Smith and nephew, James Wheaton. Savannah leaves behind

Savannah leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers, James G. Smith and Matthew (Linda) Williams; sisters, Denise Woodard, Margie Williams and La June (Marion, Sr.) Irving; sister-in-law, Janette Smith; daughter, Charrie (Phillip) Green; grandchildren, April, Trevon (MiKayla), Tambria and Ayden; great-grandchildren, Islah, Traylen, Alexander, Faith and Jer’Niyah; aunt, Martha Square; nieces, Kanisha, Cozetta, Ashley, Shaenika, Montera, Sheila and Monique; nephews, Harry, Cedric, Corey, Reggie, Eric, Derrick, Peebo (Ray) and Roderick; special nephew and birthday twin, Marion (Racheal); great nephew, Chris (Yolanda) and a host of extended relatives and friends.

Savannah is also survived by special friends, Pastor James & Gwendolyn Davis, Diana Johnson, Sabrina Berry and Belinda Roundtree; god-daughters, LaTrell Johnson and Kesha Dickey and special chil dren, Leigh Ann Merchant and Telisha Smith.

Homegoing services for Savannah were held 12 noon, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Free Pentecostal House of Prayer. Interment followed in West End Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
