Luis Aceves is completing his final year of soccer eligibility. The Madisonville High School graduate is a right back for Texas A & M University-San Antonio this season, his second in the second-year program.

At Salado High School Football Stadium on Thursday, November 3, the Madisonville Mustangs held a victory 30-14 over the Salado Eagles in District 11-4A Division I play. For the Madisonville Mustangs, this win led to them being 6-4 overall and 3-1 in District play.

Madisonville Mustangs (4-3) won their first home game of the season against the Robinson Rockets (3-5) at Madisonville Stadium on Friday, October 14. This was the Mustang’s first district game of the season; while every other team in the district has played one match already, the Rockets, after the Mustangs won this game, are now (0-2) in the district.

The news in the stands, on the field, and in the press boxes was that the Mustangs would have one incredible game ahead of them for last Friday’s match against the Cardinals. During the explosive opening, two touchdowns would happen back to back, one from the Cardinals by Running back James Hurd and the other from Running back Blessing Ngene from Madisonville.
