On the game's second play, Philip Green Jr. delivered a 42-yard touchdown, breaking tackles to secure an early Mustangs lead. Stephen Payan’s PAT was good, 0-7.

During one of the Leopards' strides, Jeremiah Burns got ahold of the ball, helping set the stage for the defense for the rest of the night while letting the Mustangs gain momentum.

Soon after, Green secured another touchdown with Payan’s PAT extending the lead to 0-14.
