FDA, CDC suggests pause on Johnson & Johnson vaccine

The vaccine clinic scheduled for Tuesday at Madisonville CISD was canceled due to the CDC and FDA recommending a pause on Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. The pause came as a result of an investigation involving six cases of dangerous blood clots out of the over 6.8 million doses administered thus far in the United States.

Sign-up for Madisonville Youth Football and Cheer will take place at the Madisonville Walmart Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fees are $100 for football and $125 for cheer. Rita’s Playschool hosted their 40th Annual Easter Parade and Egg Hunt Saturday with over 3,000 eggs hidden for local children to locate. The parade went around the square in downtown Madisonville and ended at First Baptist Church, where the Easter egg hunt was held. CALEB HOLDEN
