Martha Jane (Moore) Imely, 72 years, 5 months, and 26 days, of Madisonville, TX passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at her home in Madisonville, TX. Her life will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Day Funeral Home Chapel with the visitation scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

The burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery. Jimmy and Karolann Clopton will officiate.

“Marty”, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on December 30, 1951 in Houston, TX to Elmer Marion Moore, Sr. and Theresa Gertrude (Lisiecki) Moore. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1969 and soon began her career in the commercial insurance industry.

Marty enjoyed traveling, golfing, and an occasional game of blackjack.

Marty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of thirty one years, William Frank “Bill” Imely; and her big sister Theresa “Big Sissy” Walker.

Marty is survived by her son, Brent Hutchins and his wife Courtney; her adopted son, Tommy Simms; her adopted daughter, Anna Neilsen; her sister Betty Stokes and her husband Ivan; her brother Steve More and his wife Terry; and her brother Elmer Moore, Jr.

Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Simms, Pete Steele, Sam Stenger, Jesse Stenger, Gene Richardson, and Dustin Taylor.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ivan Stokes and Heath Clopton.
