North Zulch Bulldogs holds onto two-win streak

Over the past week, the North Zulch Bulldogs varsity basketball team has held firm after losing one game on Tuesday, December 13, against the Centerville Bulldogs 57-54. But on Friday, December 16, in an away game in their first district matchup of the season, the Bulldogs came face-to-face against the McDade Bulldogs, ultimately winning the game 6135, clutching their first win in district matches.

Most Texas pregnancy deaths preventable

A long-awaited state report concludes most pregnancy-related deaths in Texas in 2019 were preventable and disproportionately affected Black women. The report, issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Committee, indicated deaths were mainly attributable to hemorrhage, mental health conditions and blood clots.
