The FC Mustangs soccer club is excited to announce the launch of its 7v7 Summer League. The league will be held at the Madisonville Soccer Fields and is open to players in the U7, U9, and U12 age groups.

The City of Madisonville will hold a Town Hall meeting on Monday, May 20, at 6 p.m. at the Truman Kimbro Center, 111 W Trinity Street. The meeting will update residents on city services and ongoing projects.

U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul announced his office is accepting applications from students in Texas’ 10th district seeking a nomination to a United States Service Academy.

The Bedias Creek Soil & Water Conservation District #428 held its board meeting Monday at the Madisonville City Hall. The board discussed sending letters to the state to declare a disaster in the area to facilitate aid for erosion control and fence repair following recent flooding.

The Madisonville Fire Rescue will host its first annual “Fire in the Hole” golf tournament on Saturday, June 1, at the Madisonville Country Club. The fundraiser event will feature a four-person team scramble format.

The City of Madisonville is excited to announce the launch of its new Yard of the Month Program. Each month, the city will recognize one homeowner who has gone above and beyond in maintaining their yard and contributing to the beauty of our community.

Thomas Dean, a student at Madisonville High School and Texas FFA Ford Leadership Scholar, has started a new project called “Roofs for Rufus” to help Rufus Refuge, a nonprofit animal shelter in Madison County.
