Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday; March 17, 2021 at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch, TX with the burial to follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Donald Wells will officiate. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service.

Lewis Harold Akers was born on July 19, 1945 in Artesia, New Mexico to Leonard and Helen Akers. He graduated from Floyd High School in Floyd, New Mexico, in 1963, and then Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. After serving two years in the Marines, he was honorably discharged when it was decided Lewis was too tall for the duties required.

Kenneth Eugene Karber passed away on Feb. 7, 2021 at his home in Washington Court House, Ohio at the age of 59 years. He was born on July 13, 1961 in Richmond, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Glynn and Effie Karber. He is survived by his wife Martha, one son Dakota and two grandchildren; his sister Becky Watson and husband Herbert of Marquez, Texas, two brothers Glynn Jr. and wife Janet of Midway, Texas, Craig and wife Vickie of Washington Court House, Ohio. He had five step-children — Linda, Steve Jr., Wanda, Joey and Courtney and their families, a special granddaughter Jazzy Babywillett, and many nieces and nephews.
