A journey that started on Friday, August 5, against Stafford at the Madisonville Tennis Complex has finally reached its epic conclusion. The Madisonville Mustang tennis team (12-2) is now the area champion; as of Friday, October 14, they faced Cameron at 8 a.m.
And it’s a wrap! The 21st Texas Mushroom Festival held last Saturday in historic downtown Madisonville is now in the books. Besides a great time for homefolks to visit with one another, visitors came from all around to attend the festival, making a positive impact on local retail businesses, restaurants, and hotels. At the last city council meeting on Tuesday, October 11, city council members rejected the proposal for the Villages of Greystone Public Improvement District.
